Wholesale ALERT – Updates for USDA

Effective for USDA loan applications dated on or after April 1, 2024, Arc Home will align with the guidance provided by USDA in Advance Notice: GUS Changes and Revisions to HB-1-3555, Chapter 8 for the topic below.

·         Applicant Characteristics: Removed required Immigration/Naturalization Check Information field of the Additional Data screen in the Guaranteed Underwriting System (GUS) for non-U.S. Citizen applicants. Lenders will be responsible for collecting all required documentation to validate borrower eligibility. Refer to USDA Handbook (HB-1-3555) Chapter 8.

 

Additionally, Arc Home will align with the updates detailed in USDA Advance Notice: Revisions to HB-1-3555, Chapter 15 for the topic below, effective for USDA loan applications dated on or after April 1, 2024.

·         Submitting the Application Package: Updated the name of the FEMA Standard Flood Hazard Determination Form and removed the “evidence of qualified alien” submission requirement from the USDA Loan Origination Checklist (Attachment 15-A). Refer to USDA Handbook (HB-1-3555) Chapter 15.
